June Meeting

Wednesday 12th June was the date of our evening outing to Upton House and gardens. To say we had inclement weather was an understatement, but several hardy members braved the elements and toured the walled garden. The second half of the visit was a tour of the house, given by two very interesting guides, who were volunteers from the  Friends of Upton House group, who related the history of the house  and the families who owned it - many of whom were struck by financial disasters! We all enjoyed the visit and agreed it would be well worth visiting again although in much better weather conditions!!

 

Date of next Meeting ;- Wednesday 10th July. Please note change to Programme - This meeting will now take place at Holme Nursery, where a talk by Simon Goldsack will be preceded by Supper. Tickets are available from John Watts (01929 400749)- priced £8 for members and £9 non-members- Arrival time 7.00pm.
